Firm Mattress Topper

A memory foam firm mattress topper needs good maintenance and cleaning. Toppers usually need to be cleaned on a regular basis; that is spot cleaning. Then there are times when you spill something or need to give it a cleaning as whole. Here we have given you some tips which would help you clean your topper in an easy way without cleaning it as a whole –

Vacuum and spot cleaning of the firm mattress topper - You would first need to remove the Firm mattress topper and placing it on a firm surface, vacuum it thoroughly. This will get rid of all dirt or debris. Any visible spots can be cleaned using diluted vinegar, pet stain remover or borax. 

Detergent on firm mattress topper – Using a cloth and good quality detergent which has been diluted apply it all over the firm mattress topper. You can also use a spray bottle. Do not let it seep in. Then let it stay for about half an hour. After this time, use a spray bottle of water and remove all detergent with the help of soft towels. Make sure you repeat this process for both sides of the firm mattress topper. 

Dry the firm mattress topper – Once all the above is done make sure that you dry the topper well. Leave it in a room with a fan on or use a portable fan or hair dryer and dry the topper thoroughly. Take care not to bring the hair dryer too close to the topper else it might spoil the texture.
